About Kate
Kate is an award winning Physiotherapist who has worked in Gloucestershire for over 21 years and has a wealth of experience within the musculoskeletal field, working in both the NHS and the Private sector and has strong working relationships with the medical consultants and GPs.
Her treatment approach is very hands on and patient specific. She fully believes that in order to achieve your goals, understanding the condition and finding the right exercise programme for you is paramount.
Kate has a special interest in shoulder conditions, which led her to develop an entire new website with Gloucesterhire’s leading shoulder surgeon, Noel Peter. This site provides evidence based advice and prehabilitation programmes for the sporting population (www.armourup.co.uk). She also specialises in Vestibular Rehabilitation, treating individuals who suffer from dizziness and balance problems.
Kate has studied with the Barral Institute since 2016 and has developed her specialism in visceral release (treating tension around the organs) and neural release (working with the nervous system which in turn controls the musculoskeletal system). This holistic approach has helped many patients where other clinicians have failed. You can discover more about visceral release on the ‘Physiotherapy’ page.
Being a keen mountain biker and skier also, Kate understands the importance of enhancing performance and recovering from injury successfully.
